Hawks and star lilies

The hawks are still very noisy. Haven't located their nest yet but it must be nearby. I am happy to report I didn't kill the Star Lilies. Better yet, since the season is easily a month behind last year, several are still in full bloom. I have marked them with sticks in case I want to move any in th Fall.

Will weed early before it gets too hot. Becky arrives at 2. I am so excited! Word love to have a few days like our good old days. Glad Mario has done such a great job so I can spend more time with Becca.

Florida

Arrived with apprehension after last Falls debacle. I have to say Mario has done a great job. Weeds, yes. But not nearly as bad as I thought. The riverbank needs it most. Today I got the south east corner done. The citrus trees are a mess. I sprayed the tangelo with Sevin Ready To Use . And sprinkled the soil with a generous amount of ....  The new grapefruit tree looks great!
The new orange tree seems ok if a bit thin..  Might be overwatering. So I didn't apply any insecticide. The key lime and lemon trees are the worst. Applied a dose of ....

Then we got a thunderstorm. Not heavy but the question is do I reapply the ....?

Meanwhile a pair of red shouldered hawks put on a ruckus all afternoon. I kept Marli and Willow inside unless they were right next to me.
